From the North Cheshire Jewish Nursery Education Trust
At NCJN, we are dedicated about fostering a loving atmosphere that is based on enduring connections with every child and their families.
The nursery manager and the staff team are educated to provide the greatest standard of early care and education, with the help of the nursery board of trustees. (This is accomplished by serving as loving, encouraging role models for all of our children, being always attentive to and responsive to their needs, and continuously updating our procedures through ongoing training.
Being a Jewish nursery, it is vital to us that the kids understand the Jewish faith and why it is significant to them, their families, and the larger community.
We also think it's important for our kids to learn about many religions and cultures.
Throughout their time at the nursery, the kids remain in the same year/age groups.
Each room in nursery, as well as our outdoor play areas, provide a strong learning environment from babies up to pre-school.
Since the nursery opened in 2006, I have served as its director. I have worked in the child care industry for more than 25 years, and I am committed to giving our kids the best possible care.
Welcome to North Cheshire Jewish Nursery, which opened its doors in September 2006 to serve South Manchester's Jewish population.
This wonderful facility was designed with all the features required to nurture, look after, and educate preschoolers.
The nursery offers a smooth transition for kids who graduate to North Cheshire Jewish Primary School because it is right next door.
Although the day-to-day running of the nursery is expertly handled by Carol Lewis and her amazing team, behind the scenes a management committee gives support and advice and helps to ensure its smooth running .
The management committee consists of Ginette Esterkin (chair), Simmy Shammah (safeguarding officer) and Gail Swerling and this year we are planning on adding a parent/carer to the committee.
We support the nursery manager in all aspects of management, conducting frequent meetings with the manager to discuss any problems that may arise and assist in putting any necessary upgrades into place.
