The core British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs must be promoted by all schools, the DfE has reaffirmed the need to establish and enforce such an expectation.
We hear the voices of the kids and the parents. Two times a year, surveys for parents and caregivers are filled out. Children are also questioned about what they like and what may be improved about our nursery school. Children are given opportunities to make decsions such as choosing stories to be read to the group. They also play a significant role in organising and choosing the experiences and activities.
We encourage and hold the kids in our care to a high standard. Children are included in the development of the expectations and rules and are made aware of them. These are displayed for the children to see at all times. Children are assisted in understanding the justification for these regulations, that they exist to safeguard us, and that breaking rules has repercussions.
Children are taught to make decisions in a secure and encouraging setting at the Nursery School. We instruct kids and set limits for them so they can make decisions safely. This is accomplished by both our effective teaching and our secure, enabling environment. It is encouraged for kids to be aware of and understand their rights.

By taking part in a variety of festivities throughout the year, we hope to improve the kids' understanding of many religions and beliefs. Children have the opportunity to dress up in clothesand try food from other cultures and we encourage parents/carers to participate and support with this.
