A wonderful atmosphere for young children to learn and have fun through play is provided by Moatfield Playgroup.
We completely support the Early Years Foundation Stage, encourage play-based active learning, and can provide your child a great start in their early education.

Our pre-school operates from the scout hut, situated in Moatfield Recreation Ground, Bushey and has ample parking available.
Over many years, we have had the honour of providing care for a wide spectrum of children with various special needs.
Your child will be appointed a named key worker who is primarily responsible for developing positive bonds and relationships and the monitoring of your child's progress and development.
However, at Moatfield Playgroup, we have a strong team of practitioners and as such have regular meetings about all our children.
We have an experienced SENCO, who has had the benefit of working with numerous professionals and as such has the knowledge of a range of strategies and approaches to help children with additional needs.
Our SENCO and key worker will work with you and any necessary professionals to enable the best learning opportunities for your child and a happy and successful stage of their life.
The majority of our are staff have a Level 3 Childcare qualification however, all staff regularly attend training sessions provided by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) or other approved training providers.
We have two trained SENCOs at Moatfield who update their training half termly, which is again provided by HCC.
Four practitioners are trained in Makaton sign language to Level 2 and one is trained to Level 4 and Makaton is practiced daily throughout the session with all of our children.
The Head and the lead SENCO are also trained in Early Support.
This is an invaluable resource that provides support to parents and carers of disabled children and young people from birth to adulthood.
