For kids between the ages of 3 months and 5 years old, Turville School is a tiny country nursery, preschool, and forest school. We are tucked away in the stunning Chiltern Hills in the charming village of Turville. Our hidden treasure of a location, which is 5 miles west of High Wycombe and 5 miles north of Henley-on-Thames, boasts a spectacular view of both the Vicar of Dibley church and the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang windmill.
We are a fantastic group of caring, enthusiastic, and pleasant childcare experts that offer the stimulating and nurturing atmosphere essential for a child's growth and welfare.
We promote an open and welcoming extended family feel by having large group meals and set aside playtime together, even if our rooms operate independent activities. Additionally, we promote politeness and a respect for traditional values. We place each child at the heart of all we do since we are familiar with them well. Our forest school, which gives our kids special learning chances, supports this strategy as well.
A certified forest school leader oversees each of our sessions. All of our kids spend a lot of time outdoors in all types of weather.
Mini-beasts are in plenty in Windmill Meadow, which also has three horses as neighbours. It comprises of a thicket and two grassy clearings that are accessible to us at all times and is located on-site through a guarded gate. Children participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities during their frequent visits that are intended to encourage child-led discovery and supervised risk-taking, like climbing the rope ladder our family built!
