Imagine a world where kids are allowed to play freely in fields, walk dogs and alpacas, feed sheep, collect eggs, play in ponds, climb over logs and through ditches, and climb around on tractors and combine harvesters.
A world filled with exercise, good ol' fashioned fresh air, and most likely quite a bit of muck in the winter.
Mini Explorers Nursery is a novel idea in early years childcare, located on our own 260-acre farm near Bedale, on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Dales.
We are the nation's first and only farm school, as far as we know.
The seasons on the farm and the surrounding environment influence our days.
We fervently think that kids should have unlimited access to the great outdoors and should be allowed to roam free in the wide open spaces.
At Mini Explorers, food plays a significant role in daily life, and we adhere to the farm to fork principle.
So much so that we debuted The Nest, our stunning on-site oak-framed caf茅, in 2019.
