From the Mildmay Community Nursery
Since September 2014, schools and nurseries have been required to promote the fundamental British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all faiths and beliefs in order to show that they are complying with the Education Act 2002's requirements for the SMSC they provide (spiritual, moral, social and cultural development).
Our ideals of respect, perseverance, and independence are closely tied to the British Values, according to Mildmay Community Nursery. We adhere to a comprehensive philosophy in the teaching of values and recognise that these principles must be carried out via the nursery's ethos and values.
Our goal is for the young children who attend our nursery to develop into content, compassionate, and responsible individuals who actively and positively impact society. Our goal is to make sure the kids acquire the knowledge and values that will enable them to contribute fully to the society and nation where they live.
The initiatives and external accreditations listed below demonstrate our dedication to British Values and our successful promotion of SMSC.
The nursery is open from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Christmas, Easter, two weeks in August, and all federal holidays are observed by a one-week closure of our business.
In addition, the nursery is closed five days a year for training (INSET). Parents are informed of these dates one month in advance.
