The democratic, child-centered culture of The Mayfield 夜来香研究所 was modelled after A.S. Neill's Summerhill School.
We think that every kid has inherent goodness and uniqueness, and that their distinctive needs and learning styles should be acknowledged, valued, and satisfied.
We provide kids the freedom to be who they are and to participate in activities that their surroundings have to offer.
Children and teachers build a clear set of ground rules for behaviour in the nursery together.
These are evaluated on a regular basis so that new kids can weigh in on the nursery's policies.
Children communicate in a variety of verbal and nonverbal ways, so it's important to actively listen to young children's opinions in order to understand their wants and interests and be able to favourably respond to them.
This enables us to customise services and programmes to meet the unique interests and needs of each kid, thereby enhancing their learning, growth, and wellbeing.
We are aware of the impact excellent mental health has on children's wellness and advocate encouraging breathing techniques, mindfulness, and expressions of gratitude as effective ways to reduce worry and increase happiness.
Teaching kids to be grateful involves assisting them in viewing their circumstances from a position of appreciation rather than one of deficiency.
The interests of our staff are childcare and education.
Our Head of Arts teaches monthly arts lessons and is passionate about the arts.
We acknowledge the value of physical activity and how crucial it is to children's wellbeing.
At Mayfield, we also firmly believe that exposing kids to different languages will broaden their perspectives.
All of the rooms provide children the chance to enrol in the German, Spanish, and French programmes.
