Our ethos and principles at Mayfield House Kindergarten centre on the concept of childhood as a priceless, enchanted, and stress-free period of development.
to encourage a favourable attitude toward study, the capacity for creativity, independent thought, and physical fitness.
The staff truly cares about the children entrusted to their care and is deeply aware of the enormous duty we all bear in ensuring the kids' safety.
It is emphasised to kids that they should take an active role in their own well-being and value it.
Children consume wholesome foods, get enough sleep, and engage in a lot of physical activity, particularly outdoor sports in the open air.
Children are encouraged to enjoy being physically active and to understand the benefits for their health and well-being, starting with baby massage and baby yoga and continuing with yoga, dance, private swimming lessons, gardening, growing food at our allotment, and trips to the forest school at Elfin Wood.
We enjoy eating well and want to instil this love of food in our children. Eating well is both enjoyable and necessary for leading an active, healthy life.
Dig it, grow it, eat it, and love it!

Children are urged to comprehend and take pleasure in their place in the neighbourhood.
We teach the kids to help and respect others while also spreading a little joy through our allotment, our work with the Forestry Commission on our own forest site, visits to friends who have local farms, cultural outings, and charitable work.
Children are considered as individuals, and great care is given to match their unique needs, learning preferences, and interests. We offer equality of experience and opportunity鈥攏ot the same for all.
We are diverse; we value every child for who they are, regardless of their needs.
Our disciplinary guidelines are a reflection of our commitment to the dignity and worth of every person.
Our environment is dynamic and adapts to the wants and needs of people.
Our outside environment, which is similarly designed to be multi-sensory to enhance learning, is given equal weight.
We want to encourage times of discovery, adventure, thought, creativity, serenity, rest, and introspection.
Children's learning styles and interests are found through observation and evaluation, and we use these findings to guide our imaginative planning.
Our education is dynamic, experiential, and objective.
Children are allowed the TIME and space to grow and consolidate their experiences at their own rate.
We satisfy a child's desire to observe, hear, and experience talent and beauty in actual contexts. (We think that the growth of learning and emotional well-being are greatly influenced by creative expression and discovery.
