Through oversight of the school's operations, the Governing Body provides strategic leadership for the institution.
The day-to-day management of the school is the responsibility of the Head Teacher, and the Governing Board's function is to support the Head Teacher and other employees by serving as a critical friend.

While at Marshgate we have a link governor arrangement where a governor will follow a particular year group, governors are not involved in the day-to-day operations of the school.
