The Marhamchurch Pre-School has been educating young children for more than 30 years.
We are a recognised charity that offers daycare and temporary care to kids between the ages of 2 and 4 during the school year.
We are a non-profit organisation run by a parent committee, and we are registered with Ofsted to house 20 kids at once.
In order to help children transition to preschool, we think it's critical to maintain tight ties with parents and provide home visits.
Our indoor setting is cosy and welcoming to ensure a seamless transition to pre-school and provide the kids a sense of security.
We are very proud of the accomplishments of our kids, the calibre of our staff, and the pre-school standards.
Nicky joined the childcare centre in September 2007.
She has earned her degree in Learning and Teaching and holds a Level 4 in children's learning and development.
Our safeguarding officer is Nicky.
Cilla spent several years working for the NHS and is now retired.
Once or twice a week, Cilla volunteers at the PreSchool and enjoys dropping by to visit the kids and staff.
Eleanor holds a Level 4 qualification in Early Childhood Studies.
Eleanor joined our team in November 2020 and is a mother of two young children.
For the past four years, Rachel has been employed as a musical director.
We operate as a pre-school in accordance with a number of policies and procedures.
You can obtain a copy of any individual policy in our pre-school reception area, or you can find them all there.
Early Help in Cornwall works to make sure that when children, young people, and their parents need support, it is available.
Early Help focuses on spotting issues early on, offering focused assistance as soon as possible when they are discovered, and working with families to address those issues before they worsen.
Professionals, families, and children can all access Early Help Services in Cornwall through the Early Help Hub.
Never keep worries about the security of children to yourself.
You have a duty to act if you are concerned about a child, regardless of whether you are a paid employee, volunteer, or a member of the community.
Marhamchurch Pre-School is run by a parent management committee essentially acting as a governing body, overseeing the finances, setting budgets and ensuring that all legal and educational responsibilities are met.
On occasion, locals who don't have kids attending the preschool are coaxed into joining the committee.
The pre-school manager, Nicky Rogers, is in charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pre-school, and they collaborate closely.
We actively urge parents to join the committee and are always eager for them to get involved behind the scenes.
The committee is open to new members at any time of the year.
All committee members must submit to a DBS check, which the preschool can provide.
