From the Little Learners Childcare
Little Learners Childcare is an enthusiastic, family-run daycare centre and forest school for kids.
Our first nursery opened in Corby in January 2011 and our second location opened in Northampton in April 2015. We operate two nurseries headquartered in Northamptonshire.
Since establishing our first nursery, our business and, more importantly, our family have expanded.
We aim to provide a true home away from home and welcome all children and their families into our extended family. We also value the input from our families to further the learning and development of the kids.
Because of our distinctive approach to childcare and education, which is always growing along with our professional growth and knowledge, we are confident that the experiences we give the kids in our care are unparalleled.
To preserve the enchantment of childhood and improve children's learning via play and authentic experiences, we go above and beyond to ensure that children's creativity and imagination are nurtured and appreciated.
We love the outdoors so much that each of our nurseries feature an outdoor classroom where, at the request of their parents, some of our preschoolers spend their entire preschool day.
We fully believe that, after the parent as the first instructor and ourselves as the second, the environment serves as the third teacher.
We put a lot of thought and effort into creating learning environments that are tailored to the requirements, interests, and next steps of the students in their educational path.
As the kids' interests and lines of inquiry change during the terms, so do our play areas.
We don't have a lot of standard plastic toys; instead, we use natural, recycled, and actual resources to enrich our learning surroundings and chances. These resources provide endless options for play and learning, as well as hours of enjoyment and curiosity.
We are committed to recognising each age and stage of development, so we group our children into age groups accordingly. Our youngest babies (0-1 year) have their own cosy room, before moving into the next age group. We provide care for children from the time they are 8 weeks old until they enter school (with an after-school club as an added bonus at Corby) (roughly 1-2 years).
Our 2-year-olds have a separate room of their own, and our 3- and 4-year-olds attend pre-school (with some rising 3 year olds).
We recognise the benefit of giving kids the chance to interact with kids of all ages, but we also want to make sure they get quality time with kids who are in the same developmental stage as they are.
Except for holidays, both of our nurseries are open 51 weeks out of the year.
