We are ecstatic to make baby slings available in the Explorers Room! More and more people are talking about the advantages of carrying young babies in slings. Dr. Rosie Knowles, a GP who has received recognition for her work in this area and whose book Why Babywearing Matters explains her viewpoint, promotes them. In order to include this in the care provided to our youngest children, Little Lancing has trained three essential members of the staff who work in the Explorer Room. We are really excited to start wearing baby slings with our three babies whose parents have already signed up to do so.
We are honoured to have signed up for this training with Mother Rucker, a Worthing-based company, as the first local nursery. We chose our slings from their fantastic selection since we love to support local businesses wherever we can. In addition, they provide training and hire or buy alternatives so that parents interested in trying this out for themselves at home can do so before committing to buying one.
