In Berkshire, we provide three nurseries. Little Dragons Nursery is headquartered in Reading, Kiddies Cabin Nursery is based in Maidenhead, and Jack In The Box Nursery is based in Slough.
The NHS owns, operates, and supports each of our nurseries in Berkshire, and it also hires all of our staff.
We are fortunate to have great ties with a number of departments within Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust because our nurseries are owned and managed by an NHS Trust. All nursery personnel must complete onsite 12-hour paediatric first aid training at least once every three years. To learn more, go to the NHS Partnerships page.
All the kids in our care can develop their full potential in the nurseries' safe, engaging, loving, and nurturing environments.
A specialised team, a nursery manager, and a deputy are present in every nursery. The leadership staff regularly meets, and the three nurseries collaborate on projects and training.
The manager of the area nursery is Lee Owen-Macleod. In order to ensure excellent standards of care for the children, regulatory compliance, and staff members who frequently refresh their knowledge of childcare and education, she helps and counsels the employees in all three nurseries.
We have approximately 190 spots available overall, and we employ over 70 childcare specialists. A variety of skilled and seasoned nursery employees operate in our facilities. Their credentials include Graduate Nursery Nurses, NVQ Levels 3, 4, and 5, as well as NNEB.
