Children aged three months to five years old are looked after at Little Barn Owls Nursery and Forest School in Southwater. As a full-time day nursery and forest school, all children above the age of three alternately participate in our daily Forest School programme, which is hosted in our own private 11-acre forest, located five minutes away.
Over the age of three, your child will participate in Forest School sessions for at least half of the days they attend nursery in a given year. A beautifully planted spacious garden, an Atelier (a creative studio with a professional artist working with children), and recently renovated classrooms are just a few of the excellent amenities that the nursery has to offer. All of these features are housed in our 2019 totally refurbished barn nursery.
The nursery also has a view of a sizable green playing field and kids' play area, which we utilise for events, picnics, and group activities. The Southwater Country Park is also nearby and offers opportunities for walking and other activities.
The nursery has a high staff-to-child ratio, and we take seriously our responsibility to provide high-quality care, teaching, and learning. Both of our nurseries are served by a dedicated Head of Family Support and a dedicated Head of Children's and Adults Learning.
