A parent and toddler group was started in the church hall in 1995 by three parents from the neighbourhood church. This later transformed into a three-times-per-week preschool play programme.
The organisation started to grow to include a full daycare as its popularity and demand increased. In 2001, The Apple Trust (charity) was founded to meet the needs of the community by enhancing the education of children and young people in the area. In 2000, a new vicar joined the parish with the passion and vision to help seek financing.
We place a lot of value on our ethos, and many of our parents have noted how distinctive or special we are. We aspire to be a very inclusive nursery, working not just with children but also with their families and interacting with people of all ages in the neighbourhood.
The Apple Trust (Little Apples), a team of church ministries, has its origins in St Gabriel's Church, where it was first established. The Apple Trust can be compared to the church's nursery in many ways.
The construction of a neighbourhood nursery next to the current facility was funded in 2005 as part of an ongoing expansion. As a facility, we take pleasure in being welcoming to all kids and families, and we always go above and beyond to serve families in any situation.
Our crew has expanded and evolved along with The Apple Trust, and the bulk of our workforce has been with us for more than ten years. We have a high staff retention rate.
The Apple Trust family, which we have developed over the years and who we cherish and support, has produced a warm, welcoming environment for both staff and children.
