Leigh & Paul made the decision to try something new in 2004 after raising four children together and enjoying successful careers in retail.
We struggled to locate appropriate childcare for our young family while juggling our full-time careers after moving to Northamptonshire six years earlier to accept promotions. We relied extensively on full-time nurseries because we were far from all of our family and friends.
We eventually settled on a location we liked, but we were never satisfied. Thus, when a bereavement devastated our family in 2003, we took some time to ponder and then made the decision to return to the north to begin a new life while offering the greatest daycare in the nation.
At our first nursery in Heddon, we met Jade Dixon, who is currently our Senior Nursery Manager and one of the top nursery professionals you can find anywhere. Jade and I have put together a group of 60 exceptional employees who share our commitment to maintaining high standards. We've stayed small with only 3 sites, so we know everyone of our kids and parents and can work closely with them every day in our nurseries.
All three of our nurseries received Outstanding ratings from Ofsted, demonstrating their appreciation for our commitment to offering high-quality childcare.
Giving up custody of your child is a really difficult choice.
