On a place with limited access, KIDS Adventure Playgrounds offer a chance for engaging and inclusive play.
Siblings and children and young people with special needs are given priority.
However, young adults in the appropriate age group who reside in the nearby areas are also welcomed.
The Lady Allen Playground provides children with an accessible green area in a city setting where they can freely choose their play in an atmosphere that meets their needs.
We want to ensure that all children utilising the playground have equitable access to all activities, supported by a qualified and trained staff.
The children themselves decide when, how, and what they play with at Our Lady Allen Adventure Playground because it is child driven and child centred.
We provide services for kids with all types of difficulties.
We also include the siblings of the kids who have registered with us, so they may join in the fun anytime their sibling does.
At select times, we are also accessible to the general public.
Young individuals between the ages of 12 and 19 are welcome to the Youth Club.
5.00 per session for each child (1:1 financed by the local authorities plus 5.00 paid by the parent).
Children from other boroughs are welcome to attend, however the associated charges must first be addressed and agreed upon with the playground staff.
A prompt invitation to visit and have the child(ren) tested follows the initial approach of a parent or professional.
If our evaluation indicates that the youngster requires one-on-one monitoring and support.
The disabled children's team in Wandsworth social care will then need to be contacted.
After receiving an assessment form from us, they often visit the family before bringing the case before a panel meeting where the number of sessions will be decided.
