We will commemorate 70 years of Jess Gray Primary School serving as the hub of the neighbourhood this summer.
Following a memorabilia exhibition on July 13 and a special Midsummer Madness event with a music theme, the school will host a week of lessons with a theme from the 1950s (week beginning July 11), and tours of the school will be given to former students and employees. (We also have plans to create a unique film to commemorate this achievement.
Helen Holmes, a parent and former student of Jesse Gray, is collaborating with the school to connect with former students and staff via social media in order to incorporate as many people as possible in the aforementioned events.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch with Helen or the school if you are interested in volunteering or taking part in these activities.
Jesse Gray Primary School is referred to by students as their special place.
Students are aware of what it is like to be a Jesse Gray child.
They can list the principles taught at school, such optimism and empathy, that make it easier for them to get along.
