Hello, my name is Georgia, and I manage the Hopscotch Portswood. As the Manager of our brand-new Portswood location, I joined the Hopscotch team in 2022. I hold a PGCE in Primary Education. After 12 years of working in nurseries, I took a little break to teach in Reception and Year 1 and then went back to working in the early years.
At Hopscotch Portswood, we work hard to provide children with rich, meaningful interactions that encourage creativity, compassion, and bravery. We want our kids to grow up content, self-assured, and with a strong sense of who they are and where they fit into the world, including their neighbourhood. Because we value each kid as an individual, we extend learning by taking into account their interests, needs, and wants. Our goal is for kids to engage in play-based learning. Learning should be enjoyable, interesting, and appropriately demanding. To guarantee that they are positive role models for learning and offer a home away from home experience, adults must engage in high-quality interactions and forge meaningful connections with their children and families.
Aimee is our deputy at Portswood and has transferred from our Gosport site to be our deputy manager. She brings a plethora of Hopscotch expertise with her. Ami has worked at Hopscotch for more than 7 years, first as a nursery nurse and then as a room leader.
We both have a strong desire to support local families and kids as well as engage in high-quality interactions.
