The nursery's original opening took place in 1994 at the Tracks Lane location in Billinge.
In order to fulfil a lifelong desire, the current owner, Lorraine, bought the nursery in March 2011.
Since 2011, Lorraine has changed Holly Tree Children's Nursery and enlarged it to include two locations, including the old Tracks Lane location and the Holly Tree Pre-School and Tracker site located on St James Rd, Orrell, Wigan.

All Holly Tree employees have at least a Level 3 National Vocational Qualification or a level 6 equivalent of training (Degree level).
