In our opinion at High Wych Pre-school Nursery, young children learn best while playing and having fun.
Children gain the self-assurance to be independent learners, help to develop their self-esteem, and promote their awareness of limits thanks to our safe, secure environment and loving, helpful staff members.
By fostering a dynamic and rich learning environment that supports children's physical, creative, emotional, intellectual, and social development, we stimulate their discovery of the world around them.
High Wych Pre-school Nursery was founded in 1976 by a small group of neighbourhood mothers. There were only two employees and fifteen students at the time.
We were asked to relocate into the school's freshly renovated infant area in September 1997.
In 2009, the Sawbridgeworth Evangelical Congregational Church offered to house us temporarily because the school needed the classroom during our contracted hours.
When a position opened up during their daytime hire slot, the "Sawbridgeworth Young Peoples Recreational Centre" SYPRC (Charity No: 302466), which manages the Bullfields centre, contacted us in February 2011.
Over the Easter break, we relocated quickly to our new facility, and on April 26, 2011, we officially opened.
High Wych Pre-school Nursery conforms with all laws and regulations set forth by Ofsted to offer young children a safe, secure, and engaging environment in which they can learn through play.
We acknowledge that parents are a child's first and most important teacher, and we want to encourage ties between home and preschool learning through topics and projects.
We follow the Early Years Alliance model and are controlled by a constitution as a charity.
A staff member who will serve as the "Key person" for each new student at the Pre-school will be assigned to them.
