After spending more than 30 years working with preschoolers, I had the good fortune to start my own nursery in Mill Hill.
I have a degree in early childhood education, and I have a passion for helping kids learn outside.
Every kid is valued by us at Helena's Nursery.
To ensure that every one of our kids is prepared to move on to primary education, we work to instil in them a sense of confidence, independence, and joy for learning.
We have stunning outdoor garden spaces, a fantastic outdoor forest classroom, and a fantastic messy play area!
The beginning is in our Petals area, which is created especially for infants starting at nine months old.
Our infants have a special sleeping area as well.
Through the three main areas of personal and social development, communication and language development, and physical development, we hope to instil in babies a sense of curiosity, enthusiasm, and excitement for learning as they grow.
We employ a variety of picture books, story telling, music, and finger rhymes to improve toddlers' listening and understanding skills while also encouraging imaginative and creative qualities.
Our toddlers spend their time in the Roses area engaging in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that are both child- and adult-led.
To get them ready for their next steps into primary school, we continue to encourage their independence and confidence.
Our distinctive outdoor learning experience is equally as beneficial as learning inside.
For kids, being outside is a natural habitat.
We are quite proud of our beautiful forest setting, where all of the kids get to learn outside every day.
Additionally, they hone their resilience, self-assurance, and thinking and communication skills.
