The key-person system is effectively used by staff to collaborate with parents and fully comprehend the first needs of children. Children who are helped to settle quickly develop friendly ties with workers. They prefer working in smaller groups where they constantly reflect on what they've learned and recognise each other's successes. Since it was founded more than 45 years ago, Heath Barn Preschool has moved from its original location in the Village Barn to the grounds of St. Leonard's School in Heath and Reach. The parents/carers of the children who attend own the registered charity; a committee made up of the parents/carers helps with group management and fundraising/social events. Our preschool's mission is to give kids a secure, nurturing atmosphere where they can learn through play and gain self-assurance and independence in preparation for kindergarten. Our staff is dedicated to looking out for your child and creating a setting where kids can flourish. We take pleasure in the friendly environment we foster and the advancement kids make while they are in our care. In order to respond to the children's learning and follow their interests, our daily schedule always remains flexible. Both indoors and outside, the kids are able to play unrestrictedly. While inside, they will have a variety of activities to select from, one of which is adult-directed and designed to match particular learning objectives. The outdoor space includes a sizable area for building with natural materials, a mud kitchen, ride-on toys, and a climbing frame, among other things. Below, you can see an example of a typical day.
