Louise Smith is my name.
Since joining the company in 2005, I have been the GBNFC Group Manager, in charge of all the provision for GBNFC.
My desire is for all kids to have access to experiences that will help them develop into self-sufficient lifelong learners.
We provide a variety of chances and services for parents to be involved in their children's early years journey while they are with us, as well as all other parts of parenting, in order to ensure that your kid has the best start in life.
From there, in 2007, we established our term-time only pre-school programme at Hollywood Primary School.
Soon after, in 2009, we were given Childrens Center status, allowing us to provide services to families within the Billesley ward.
The facility offers high-quality, reasonably priced care and education for children ages 2 to 5 and was remodelled to reflect the ethos and settings of our other facilities.
Our ethos has always been to offer the local community high-quality, affordable child care and education while also supporting parents going back to work or school.
In 2017, we were invited to deliver the Children's Center service as part of a Barnardos subcontract as part of the new BFS (Birmingham Forward Steps).
With up to 9,000 kids, our children's centre now serves the whole Selly Oak District.
Our team is based at the GBNFC at The Chinnbrook Centre, but we provide a wide range of services, including training and education guidance and training across this area, parenting groups, play and stay sessions, family support, health services, volunteering and community support, and parenting groups.
