The Great Gransden Playgroup has been in operation for more than 30 years; it was formerly housed in a mobile on the grounds of the neighbourhood elementary school.
The Pre-staff School's members have a long history of working together to provide a fun and carefree environment where kids may play and learn. They provide a wide range of high-quality materials with the goal of helping kids build confidence, independence, and connections with their peers.
Our pre-school is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the school year, offering two-hour programmes in the morning and afternoon with a break for lunch in between.
We received the following verdict during our most recent Ofsted inspection in May 2022: Outstanding for the third time (The full report can be accessed via our about us section).
We promote parental engagement by asking them to volunteer as in-class parent helpers, assist at events, or even give their skills or join a committee.
We understand that not everyone can visit the location frequently; [there are many more things you may assist with, so please ask] In addition, we communicate with one another via phone conversations, emails, letters to/from home, and the addition of observations and pictures to your child's Tapestry learning journal.
The environment at Great Gransden Pre-School Playgroup is supportive and motivating, where kids may grow while pursuing their interests and our staff members give them the tools, equipment, know-how, and skills to assist their learning.
We are aware that children learn best through play when they are fully immersed in their activities, and that they should have year-round access to the outdoors so they may explore and take advantage of everything our local environment has to offer.
As we think and respect that every kid is unique and should be cherished as such, we strive to develop close and supportive relationships with the children and their families, working together to fulfil the requirements of the individual.
Our goal is to foster a lifetime love of learning in each of our children while also fostering their independence, curiosity, and sense of joy.
