From the Grassroots Nursery
In a nutshell, we are a private farm-based nursery setting with 34 kids overall (including 9 under twos), providing your child with a cosy environment in which to learn, develop, and thrive.
Our nursery strives to become a larger part of your family rather than just a place of business since we understand that for a kid, taking their first steps outside of the home setting can be frightening.
Grassroots was founded to provide parents with a down-to-earth, choice of child care, where the stimulating environment and farm setting are the basis for our activities. In addition to upholding the high standards set out by Ofsted and following the Early Years Foundation Stage, we also adhere to the standards set by Ofsted.
Grassroots launched in January 2015 and is open 50 weeks a year from 7.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. This facility gives working parents peace of mind knowing that their kid is receiving a variety of experiences daily while being looked after by trained workers.
We do not charge for Bank Holidays, in contrast to many nurseries, and we support the funding programmes (15 & 30 hours) that are currently available to qualified families.
This means that we can provide a schedule of events and regular activities that are catered to each person's requirements and that accommodate each developmental stage - whether you need a professional nursery to care for your infant or to get your youngster ready for school. Grassroots is a close-knit group that is ready to assist you.
We also provide farm walks for exploration, visits to our own animals, such as pigs, donkeys, cows, ducks, and chickens, as well as lots of outdoor play. These activities gladly coexist with more conventional ones, such as creative and messy play, role play, building, baking, dancing, and games.
Each age group has been encouraged to experiment and explore using toys and equipment that are new and interesting. For the older children, this involves holistic learning in preparation for a smooth transition into full-time school.
