The basic British principles of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs must be promoted by all schools, according to the DfE, which has lately reaffirmed the necessity of doing so.
British values were defined by the government in the 2011 Prevent Strategy, and these values have been reaffirmed in recent years.
These ideals are regularly reaffirmed at Lent Rise in the manner listed below.
We recognise, appreciate, and celebrate the variety of backgrounds that each student at Lent Rise comes from.
We also value and enjoy being citizens of the United Kingdom.
The kids are urged to participate in a variety of democratic processes in every year group.
The school has been looking into a curriculum called Philosophy for Kids.
Politics and Democracy is the theme of PSHE days.
This is also explored in Year 5 History's study of Ancient Greece.
The teachers at Lent Rise encourage students to behave well in all facets of their lives, which helps them develop a solid grasp of the legal system.
The children learn the value of the rule of law by participating in numerous circle periods where these topics can be covered in greater detail.
Law enforcement personnel from the neighbourhood are also welcomed to speak with the students in the school while keeping a certain amount of respect for their guests.
