Being the head of North Shropshire College, I'm extremely happy with how well our students are performing and how the college is growing. We are the only college in the region to offer a timetable tailored to the needs of young people living in our rural community, who frequently face lengthy daily commutes, thanks to the amalgamation of the colleges that became Herefordshire, Ludlow, and North Shropshire College. Increased facility investments, including a new refectory at Walford and various campus modifications, have been made as a result of the merger. Our calendars reserve study periods so that students have free half days and, in most cases, a free day per week. This allows them to complete homework at home, participate in extracurricular activities like sports or music, or even get a part-time job.
