Betty Layward Primary School has strong transportation connections and is close to Clissold Park and Clissold Leisure Center. The institution bears the name of a local citizen who passed away in 1998. Betty Layward, her husband, and their two boys resided on Stoke Newington High Street. She put in a lot of effort as a school governor in several schools to enhance results for all kids since she was adamant that they could all succeed. A new school was being developed for Stoke Newington when she passed away. The council chose to rename the new school after her in honour of her dedication and enthusiasm for enhancing the life prospects of all students. Currently, Betty Layward has 430 students enrolled, with 30 students in each class. In Nursery, there are 40 full-time and part-time positions available. The school also provides parents with a number of additional services, such as a breakfast club, a variety of after-school programmes, and an after-school club (Fit For Sport). Our goal at Betty Layward is to establish a joyful, creative environment that fosters learning. Children learn in a variety of ways, so we provide them opportunity to explore, create, discover, and investigate. It's crucial that they learn for themselves rather than having it explained to them. Every child should acquire the skills necessary for lifelong learning, and they should receive support as they grow into responsible adults who give completely to their communities. Additionally, we think that in order for kids to realise their full potential, we need to collaborate with parents and other caregivers.
