Understanding how to live out our British values is made possible by the Puffin Code and our core principles of respect, happiness, and growth.
We wholeheartedly support the initiative to establish and uphold a strict and explicit standard for all schools to teach the core British ideals of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and respect for people of all religions and beliefs. (
These values are expressly taught during our weekly communal worship, in Religious Education and PSHE sessions, as well as in other subjects included in our comprehensive and well-balanced curriculum.
Students are taught that all members of the school community deserve respect and that diversity should be celebrated.
In Religious Education classes, PSHE classes, and during our corporate worship, we impart information about different faiths and beliefs.
Children are eager to demonstrate to others how inclusive Amble First School is after learning about the value of opposing prejudice and discrimination.
Children at Amble First School begin to understand the difference between good and wrong as soon as they enrol.
Our Puffin Code is a set of precise rules that all kids and adults are expected to abide by. It was developed by our families and kids together.
All of our students, in our opinion, are "bucket fillers," always showing consideration and being kind to others.
Respect is one of the guiding principles at Amble First School.
Above all, we demonstrate respect by abiding by the Puffin Code.
We support the development of a knowledge of freedom and choice through RE, PSHE, and Collective Worship.
Children learn how to make wise decisions and how to keep themselves safe from harm through our programme.
