As Creaton Playgroup, Ducklings Pre-School had its beginnings in 1971. After more than 40 years, we are a vibrant village preschool offering top-notch daycare and instruction to kids in and near Creaton village. At Ducklings, we offer kids a wide variety of fun, brand-new activities that are all created to spark their interest and encourage play-based learning in young children. We take pleasure in our "child-led" planning methodology, which enables us to customise learning opportunities to each child's unique interests. We spend a lot of time outside because we place a strong focus on outdoor learning. The kids who attend Ducklings benefit much from our wonderful outdoor spaces; just look at the setting pictures for proof. There is no limit to the fun and learning with the vast amount of outdoor space that includes a fort, dens, tunnels, nature garden, allotment and greenhouse, mud kitchen, play house, enormous playground, and grassy areas. Ducklings is a committee-run registered charity that is handled on a volunteer basis. Volunteer parent/caregiver members who serve on the committee supervise the operation of the facility and aid the staff in achieving their goals for the preschool. At Ducklings, we are fortunate to have a staff that is highly committed to providing the children with excellent care and educational opportunities. Regular staff meetings are held to discuss planning ideas, but even after hours, the team stays in touch via WhatsApp to share ideas for the next day. Their passion, knowledge, and dedication are what make Ducklings such a unique environment.
