With sons in Year 2 and Reception, I am aware of the unique culture at Downs View Infants and wish to collaborate with the administration to ensure that kids learn, grow, play, and enjoy themselves.
In 2015, my husband, our two sons, and I relocated from Medway to Little Burton.
I volunteered to serve as a governor in order to support the school and the Kennington neighbourhood since my family established roots there.
Greetings, I'm Michelle Krawczyk. I am a co-opted governor who attends Downs View Infant School with my son.
I served as an officer in the US Army for 21 years before retiring three years ago to devote more time to our small family.
After witnessing firsthand what a fantastic school Downs View was, I decided to join the board of governors in January 2019 to support its growth.
I want to support the school in maintaining a setting that allows each student to reach their full potential, achieve success, and be at their best.
I initially joined the governing council in early 2015 as an associate governor, and now I am a co-opted governor.
I was seeking for volunteer work where I could make a difference and continue to use my talents after taking an early retirement from my position as a marketing director to raise my kid.
I successfully applied to be a governor, much to my joy.
In addition to fulfilling my duties as a general governor, which include challenging and supporting the head teacher in her work, I also regularly do health and safety inspections at the school to keep both students and staff safe.
Additionally, I collaborate with the Single Equality group to guarantee that both children and workers are protected from all characteristics listed in the Single Equality Act of 2010.
I am extremely proud to be a governor at Downs View, and seeing how well-behaved and happy the kids are when I visit the school is a reward in and of itself. All of the staff are fully committed to providing each and every child with the very best foundation for their learning journey.
I just began my second two-year tenure as a Co-Opted Governor.
I consider myself to be a local because I was born in the former Willesborough Hospital and I have friends and family who went to Downs View.
I became a member of the governing body because I believed that, as a teacher with almost 20 years of experience, I could help the school continue to be an excellent option.
Downs View is always bustling, and the entire staff works incredibly hard to give the kids the largest range of experiences possible.
Watching the kids run into school in the morning and emerge from it at the end of the day is the best reason to be a governor.
