The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a nationwide framework for children from birth to five years old, is used at Discovery Day Nursery.
We work together with our families to develop and implement our curriculum. Experiences are specifically developed based on children's interests and developmental stages to help children reach their greatest potential and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. This is because every child is unique, develops and learns in various ways, and at their own speed.
A committed expert who will develop a special bond with you and your child from the outset of your journey with us is your key person. At Discovery Day Nursery, we believe that the key person approach is essential to fostering a partnership with our families and providing for the special needs and overall wellbeing of each child. The child's parents are both their primary teacher and most knowledgeable authorities. As a result, your key person will be eager to get to know your child and their current experiences at home. They will also share their experiences with the nursery with you, and the two of you will then plan the future together.
All children have the right to receive early education in a welcoming atmosphere, according to Discovery Day Nursery. Our qualified personnel is aware of and complies with the 2015 SEND code of practise. According to our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Local Offer, our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) works with children, their families, and their key person to meet any particular needs or requirements.
