Everything we do is based on our mission statement and fundamental beliefs.
They serve as the foundation for our instruction and learning and create a setting that enables our students to develop into confident, content citizens.
As a Church of England primary school, our vision is deeply rooted in a strong Christian tradition and is to develop joyful, young people with inquiring minds, a spirit of curiosity, respect for themselves, others, and the environment so they will have the abilities, resilience, and adaptability to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
The focus of everything we do is on the kids.
Our school collaborates with parents, our neighbourhood church, and the larger diocese to raise responsible, self-assured kids who respect other religions and play constructive roles in their communities.
All facets of school life reinforce our Christian principles, and we urge all members of our community to foster a culture where everyone is treated with care and respect.
We think that by fostering excellence, actively promoting British values, and fostering a stimulating learning environment, our school helps students reach their greatest potential.
Our Assembly Ambassadors have described how we live out the Christian ideals that the kids have selected as being most important to them.
At Dickleburgh, we hold numerous festivities and events that showcase and embrace our Christian identity.
Many of these are based on the Anglican calendar, while others are significant occasions where kids and adults reflect on their lives and identities, their roles in our communities or society, or how they might influence others' lives.
Here is just a sample of what we have accomplished so far this year.
We held our annual Harvest Festival service in church on Thursday, October 4.
This year's Children in Need Day was so much fun. We came to school in our pyjamas and raised an amazing $441 for kids who are less fortunate than we are.
We had the chance to sing some of our favourite Christmas carols with our families and the community at our Christmas concerts.
With our special Christmas service hosted at our church, our first academic year as Dickleburgh C of E Primary Academy came to a close.
While our Reception students created the Nativity Tableau at the front of the chapel, our Year 6 students led this service by reading from the Bible.
For the rest of the school, Class 6 led a fantastic Easter service this year.
They collaborated in groups to educate us about the history of Easter customs, the diversity of Easter celebrations, and the Easter Story as it was recounted through an Easter Egg Hunt.
