In order to lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning, we think it is important to provide a secure, nurturing environment that is also full of wonder and awe. Our pre-school is operated out of Denmead Memorial Hall, which is located in the centre of Denmead Village in Hampshire. We design our lessons with each kid in mind, emphasising play-based learning in a fun and welcoming setting. We offer kids a wide range of learning-related activities that span all subject areas. Using the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework, we develop plans with specific children in mind (EYFS). We balance the number of activities that are child- and adult-initiated. Since the opening of our school in 1984, we have developed close ties with the neighbourhood schools, notably Denmead Infants School and Berewood Primary School. Were Ofsted-approved (latest inspection took place in the Spring Term of 2020; we had to alter our Ofsted number since this visit because the owner retired and transferred ownership of the preschool to her daughter Sarah Green).
