From the Davenport Lodge Nursery School
The Davenport Lodge Nursery School strives to provide a curriculum that is broad, balanced, progressive, and relevant while taking into account each child's individual needs in terms of personal and social growth, gender, and ethnicity. Our curriculum enables every child to complete the Early Years Foundation Level successfully, to gain knowledge and confidence, and to advance to the following learning stage. We make effort to mix adult-led and child-initiated activities in our planning so that the kids can learn while they play and explore. We provide a variety of activities, such as music, dance, karate, cooking classes, and physical education. Children's energies are channelled through these activities, which also maintain healthy bodies and brains. The curriculum's foundation is the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our curriculum is structured around the EYFS framework, which focuses on the development of the three primary, four specialised areas of learning, as well as the qualities of effective learning. According to the Headmistress, learning in the nursery school is joyful, engaging, rewarding, and builds confidence. Each child is given the opportunity to succeed very well in respect to their abilities while also receiving intellectual challenge. The Nursery School does a fantastic job of preparing students for the next level of their education.
