How does Daisy Chain Childcare determine whether a kid requires further help?
Every kid at Daisy Chain Childcare has a key person assigned to them.
The key person may learn about the unique needs, interests, and skills of each kid during these sessions.
Prior to their child's start day, we hand our Getting to Know You brochure to the parents.
Our Nursery SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) will assist in developing an Individual Learning Plan and will provide assistance to the key person, the child, and the family (ILP).
To make sure the kid is getting the greatest assistance possible, plans and activities are periodically evaluated by the key person, SENCO, and parents.
The key person will work with the parents throughout the initial settling-in meetings to get the child started in the nursery.
The key person will keep a transitions diary at this period to get to know the child's particular routines, needs, interests, and talents.
For each youngster, the moment of a transition is crucial.
Your key person will collaborate with you to choose the best times for your child to adjust to our environment at their own speed when they first arrive at the nursery.
Your key person will work with the new key person to relay and give over pertinent information to ensure as seamless a transition as possible each time your kid moves to a new age group.
Your child's interests and needs will be taken into consideration, and the new key person will work with you to make sure they are well acclimated to their new room and peers.
In order to assist families in preparing for school, we welcome the new teachers to the nursery when it is time for transition to school. We also provide the pertinent transitional documentation to school.
The DfE provided funding to Family Action in 2015 as a part of The National Prospectus Grants Program 2015-16 to carry out a new programme: Increasing the availability of excellent, inclusive school-based childcare for children ages 0 to 5 with SEND.
The new initiative seeks to enhance access to and raise the standard of inclusive childcare for young children (0–5) with special needs and disabilities (SEND).
During the next twelve months, Family Actions Childcare in Schools team will be supporting selected school-based childcare providers (e.g. nurseries, schools, childrens centres) in the North, Midlands and South of England to increase and develop their school-based provision of high-quality, inclusive childcare in England for 0-5s with SEND.
