Some 2 year olds who qualify, as well as all 3 and 4 year olds, are eligible for free early childhood education. It is the first component of the Early Years Foundation Stage that was finished in the school's reception class. Due to government support, we are able to offer free spots for up to 15 hours per week to all 3 and 4 year olds starting in the term following their third birthday and to eligible 2 year olds starting in the term following their second birthday. Subject to an acceptable level of demand, the 15 hours may be spread out over any number of days and hours. For a minimum of 38 weeks, the free entitlement equates to 15 hours each week. A completed application form, your child's birth certificate, and a council funding form should be brought to the nursery if your child is 3 or 4 years old.
