From the Courthouse After School Club
There are no more than eight students in our intimate Nurture Group class.
The Nurture Group promotes personal, social, and health education while upholding the values of the Courthouse Junior School's already nurturing atmosphere.
Within the Nurture Group, kids receive help for enhancing their emotional health, self-esteem, and sense of community within the school.
We give the kids a regular schedule with distinct boundaries so they feel safe and comfortable.
Learning takes place in our Nurture Group.
The SENDCo and Nurture staff would then have a chat.
A spot for the child to attend the Nurture Group will be offered to the parent or caregiver, who will then have the option to accept it.
Both staff and children can clearly understand the structure and routine that the children follow, which includes social skills, independent and cooperative play, group listening and speaking, work duties, and group activities.
The Nurture Group has two distinct groups: the caterpillar group for the fifth grade and the rainbow group for the fourth grade.
However, we make sure that kids don't miss any special events that the rest of their class is participating in, such assemblies, visitors, outings, or special events.
Yes, we take pride in having an open door policy that allows parents and caregivers to stop by and speak with the Nurture staff.
