This nursery, which is a part of Chesterton Primary School, is our first in Cambridge. We offer convenient access to the adjacent science parks as well as Cambridge's downtown. The nursery is roomy and features a sizable outside space for unstructured learning and discovery. We have four classes, each with its own outdoor area, where we can accommodate kids ages 0 to 5. Children in our mixed-age courses move from classroom to classroom depending on their growth, not their age. Mixed-age classrooms offer several advantages, including older students serving as role models, helping younger students learn language, and helping them understand that everyone has different strengths and should assist one another.
A short time after Chestnut Nursery Schools opened its doors in 2013, I began working there. I've had the opportunity to follow this trip and watch the nursery expand. After a year of employment, I was promoted to Baby Room Leader. I had a great experience working in the nursery's baby area and giving the infants the finest start possible. I later relocated to the toddler room, where I eventually rose to the position of room leader before becoming manager. I appreciate working directly with all the families and employees as manager.
I've always had a passion for working with children, so I started my Primary Education BA Hons (QTS) programme. In 2016, I completed my studies and received Qualified Teacher Status. I began working with Chesterton in December 2021 as the infant room leader before being promoted to deputy manager in February 2022. I have a great deal of love for working with kids, and I'm hoping that by putting my existing expertise and experience with kids of all ages to use, I may become a strong and motivating deputy manager or room leader. I want to make sure that every kid who attends our Chestnut nursery realises their full potential and flourishes in a joyful and encouraging setting.
