Ashford, Kent, has two nursery schools.
On September 2003, we launched a smaller branch in Kingsnorth Road, Ashford, in response to the rising demand for spots at our Nursery.
You may find brief descriptions of our nurseries, where we employ Montessori tools to support our instruction, on the pages that follow.
While embracing and recognising different faiths and religions, the nurseries are administered with a Christian ethos.
The Nursery School is accessible to all local families.
We also provide complimentary spots on the Free for 2 programme (FF2), pending eligibility and space availability.
Their orientation includes fundamental instruction in using Montessori tools, fundamental food hygiene, child protection, and health and safety.
The flexibility to choose from a carefully curated range of projects, educational games, and indoor and outdoor play in well-equipped and secure play spaces is provided for kids.
All employees are given encouragement and assistance to grow professionally.
The Italian educator Maria Montessori created the Montessori method of nursery education at the beginning of the 20th century.
With an individualised approach and the conviction that every kid is special and deserving of respect, it seeks to assist every child in realising his or her full potential.
Children are given the option to choose from a carefully curated range of games and exercises that will each help them develop one or more facets of their personalities.
Every activity has equal significance, and kids are encouraged to participate in them all, though they are never coerced.
Children are not taught self-discipline or attention on their job while maintaining their passion for the activity at hand by the fear of punishment or the promise of reward, but rather with love and patience.
Children are encouraged to practise social interaction with classmates, instructors, and outside guests. They will also learn how to carry out a variety of small practical tasks that will help them become independent and competent in life skills ranging from dusting a shelf to mediating a conflict.
