We have determined that there is a considerable demand for an approach to supporting children's emotional wellbeing in a society that is expanding at a rapid rate. At Chapel Hill, we have decided to limit the amount of screen time that kids receive while placing a greater emphasis on outside physical learning and literacy.
We consider ourselves as having a low-tech high touch approach to learning, which means we have some opportunities for children to develop ITC skills, but we prioritise our hands on physical learning as well as early writing skills, making the most of our wonderful outdoor space.
In addition to encouraging parents to share their at-home learning via our free parentzone learning journal App and providing ideas for at-home learning, we use the Early Years Foundation Stage to supplement our curriculum.

We have high aspirations for all our children and in addition to supporting the Characteristics of Effective Learning, these are the agreed ambitions our staff hope for your child to achieve when supporting their learning and development at Chapel Hill.
We as a setting are dedicated to lowering waste, and we accomplish this by recycling our waste whenever possible.
We have removed all non-essential single use plastic, and are committed to retiring our plastic toys at the end of their lives and replacing them with items made from more sustainable materials.
Where possible we will try to upcycle natural/recycled items, and celebrate that toys can be open ended and made of natural materials.
We encourage families to use and contribute to our Community Sharing Rail in order to recycle clothes and textiles which we hope will both save money for families but also reduce unnecessary landfill.
