In the 2019–20 fiscal year, we produced a social effect of 1,172,859. We spent 52,328.93 on helping citizens find work, apprenticeships, support for neighbourhood associations and groups, youth clubs, volunteer opportunities, social gatherings, and Internet access. By making this contribution to the society, every $1 contributed resulted in the creation of $22.41 in social value. The phrase "social value" is used to represent the added value produced when we provide a service contract that benefits a larger community or the general public. As an illustration, we might provide funding for a youth organisation that promotes kids to make friends, join sports teams, and be able to play safely. By encouraging volunteerism, enhancing health, or lessening antisocial behaviour and low-level crime in the neighbourhood, this could add to the social value of the community. Because it is an easy approach to assign monetary values to social activities that are typically more challenging to quantify, we use the HACT (Housing Association Charitable Trust) Social Value Calculator. In order to confirm that we have correctly used the Social Value Toolkit, we are investigating a certification procedure with HACT. The toolbox will still be used to determine social value. When making plans or deciding to fund initiatives, it will assist us in deciding how to allocate our resources efficiently.
