British values are strengthened through both our core curriculum and our extended curriculum, which are thoroughly integrated into our school's daily operations.
Our students are taught the value and significance of abiding by laws, rules, and codes, as well as the rationale behind them, for their own safety and the safety and protection of others.
Annual assemblies honour and reaffirm safety protocols and regulations.
This is in addition to our curriculum, which also covers topics like e-safety and sports rules.
The school's SELF initiative, which was inspired by our Lesson Study research and focuses on developing students' self-awareness, self-esteem, self-control, self-motivation, self-sufficiency, and self-reflection, further promotes the development of our students' independence and resilience as learners.
The opportunity to participate in a variety of community projects aimed at fostering respectful relationships with others is provided to students on a year-round basis.
In addition to working in pairs and groups in class, our older students frequently assist our younger ones, such as in the canteen during lunch, during breakfast club, and during playtimes.
By forging a strong bond with a German school in Eitorf, which we continue to visit with students, we have created international connections.
Additionally, because of our close relationships to Slip End Village School, students frequently get the chance to interact with neighbourhood kids and learn from them as well as share and develop friendships.
At Caddington, respect for the environment and for other people's property is also strongly encouraged. For instance, recycling bags are available in every classroom.
Our eco team is in charge of keeping the school litter-free and using less energy wherever we can.
By giving students the chance to learn about and engage with our vibrant and diverse culture, we can ensure that they are accepting and receptive.
As part of our curriculum, students learn about a variety of world religions and faiths, particularly through RE and PSHCE.
The Central Mosque in Luton and our neighbourhood church are two examples of sites of worship that students have visited and examined.
