From the Bus Stop Pre-School
In the lovely grounds of the National Trust's Polesden Lacey Estate in Bookham, Surrey, we are a family-run pre-school, nursery, and forest school as well as a provider of forest school training. Our group has the freedom to explore the magnificent North Downs because our dedicated building is located within the Estate. No of the weather, we at Bus Stop think that children should experience learning. We adhere to the Early Year Foundation Stage Curriculum, 2021, as well as the Forest School and Learning Outside the Classroom approaches to education. Our educational philosophy is based on giving kids from birth to age five the chance to learn through play, exploration, taking risks, and having time to try out their own ideas. Children are given the opportunity to freely move between the carefully prepared indoor and outdoor learning spaces, go on field trips around the neighbourhood, and embark on weekly outdoor experiences at Forest School, where they spend the entire day eating, sleeping, and playing in the woods. Our instructional strategy strives to develop independent, resilient, critical thinkers, active learners, and people who value other people's opinions.
