A group of parents and other community Trustees oversee Brockholes Pre-School as an organisation. Five people work at the pre-school, including an early years teacher. Children between the ages of 18 months and 5 are welcome at Brockholes Pre-School, provided that their needs can be addressed and an adequate space is available. During the school year, the Pre-School is open Monday through Friday from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm. The Pre-School Alliance is connected to Brockholes Pre-School, a registered charity. It was founded in 1976 and is well located in a port-a-potty that was specially constructed in the grounds of Brockholes Junior & Infant School, which received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted in January 2013. Strong ties between pre-school and the school assist kids adjust to school life happily. With a nearby outdoor play area, Brockholes Pre-School is a highly welcoming environment with great play and activity spaces. The EYFS Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum is used in the Pre-School, and each child's interests are taken into consideration while planning lessons. Pre-School is open from Monday through Friday and provides morning, afternoon, and lunchtime sessions. There can be a maximum of 17 kids per session. Each kid that enrols in Brockholes Pre-School is given a key person who oversees their needs. The child's progress is monitored by the key person using the online learning journal Tapesty. In order to assist each child's growth, future planning and activities in the setting are informed by the analysis of the data entered into Tapesty.
