The playgroup, which is located on School Lane in Brereton, was established in 1980 following a meeting of local mothers who were concerned about the absence of pre-school facilities in the community. A committee was created as a result of that meeting, and Brereton Mother and Toddler Group was established. In order to raise money for the purchase of premises, the committee and its members organised numerous fundraising events over the course of the following three years with the invaluable assistance of neighbourhood residents and a local philanthropist. We had a tonne of talent in the neighbourhood, and many volunteers offered to assist us complete the renovations, which made us tremendously blessed. Brereton Pre-School gladly welcomed the first group of youngsters from Brereton and the other towns and villages on September 6, 1983. We have been a cornerstone of the neighbourhood for more than 30 years and the starting point for kids from toddlerhood through elementary school. We intend to carry on for a further 30 years. We do have a selection of uniform items with the pre-school emblem available, while it is not required and may help prevent damage to personal clothing. Click here for additional information.
