A registered charity, Brentry and Henbury Children's Centre offers childcare and family support services to the local community in north Bristol and beyond.
We are Bristol's first independently run children's centre.
By offering family support services, community groups, and nursery and preschool care, we hope to promote the education and development of infants and young children.
Our goal is to empower families for life by providing a secure environment for integrated assistance and childcare that fosters resilience, self-assurance, and skill development.
Our Vision: To be a preeminent independent charity offering long-lasting benefits to the neighbourhood and beyond.
At our facility in Brentry, next to Brentry Primary School, we provide nursery and preschool care for children ages 6 months to 4 years old.
We have experience working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and we have a room designated specifically for working with these kids called Blossom.
When the neighbourhood preschool Playdays collapsed in 2004 due to a lack of space, Brentry & Henbury Childrens Center was founded as a charitable organisation and neighbourhood nursery.
In 2008, our second location at adjacent Henbury Court opened to serve the surrounding neighborhood's need for daycare and family assistance.
We are a part of the collaboration of eight children's centres in north Bristol called North Bristol Childrens Centres.
