This is the school's guiding principle, and Early Years Foundation Stage is where it really matters.
Two Early Years classes, The Den and The Lodge, are run by three seasoned Early Years Teachers, and they are both supported by an outstanding group of support workers.
Children can freely move between our indoor and outdoor spaces, which helps them develop playfulness while allowing them to engage in uninterrupted activities.

The time of learning and development from birth through the completion of a child's first year of school is known as the Early Years Foundation Stage (Reception).
Our Early Years play space at the front of the school is more geared toward active play.
Our youngsters can explore a calmer, more inquisitive environment in our courtyard.
They can create their own recipes while having fun in our mud kitchen.
In our Courtyard, we are also creating reading, math, and sensory sections.
At Bracken Leas, we use a technology called Tapestry to easily and amusingly document our students' academic progress.
We will also be introducing Read Write Inc. phonics starting in January 2017.
This is a complete literacy programme, for 4 to 7 year-olds learning to read and write and for 7 and 8 year-olds needing to catch up quickly.
Although children spend the majority of the school day selecting their own activities and timings, there are also some whole class activities that regularly take place.
These include phonics work and maths.
