Bilingual Day Nursery Ashby adheres to a holistic approach of early childhood education. When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. When they leave our Nursery, they are ready to move on to the next phase of their development.
We have a weekly topic that is chosen based on the children's interests. However, on occasion, the planned activity is postponed since the kids are content to play instead. Because of this, we work around their interests. For example, if your child enjoys playing with automobiles and is interested in cars but the plan calls for gardening, we will instead learn more about vehicles. All kids are always welcome to participate with us.
Never will we force a child to sit down and complete an activity. We believe in learning through play not sitting down and doing a lesson! Preschoolers are prepared for school by being encouraged to sit down and do some math or write something, but it's all done through play.
